Android App Based Data Collection for Motion Inference
We need your help to run the application while you are commuting and respond (register) to events of the vehicle.
You will need to run the application: Ride Speed Detector (Early Access) while travelling in a Bus or Car.
Please note that you cannot be the driver of the either of the vehicles.
Ride Speed Detector has 4 functional buttons and 2 option buttons.
1. Select Mode of Transport and enter Worker ID: Select between car and bus and enter your Amazon turk worker ID.
2. Start Recording: (Toggles between start and stop of data recording): You are requested to press on the START RECORDING whenever you have settled down in your seat and are fine with starting the data collection.
3. Moving: If the vehicle is moving, please tap on MOVING and ensure that it is GREEN UNDERLINED. The moment the vehicle stops, tap again on MOVING to turn the button off; so that the GREEN UNDERLINE is gone.
4. Right: When the vehicle is taking a right turn tap on RIGHT button to turn it on. Tap again after the turn is complete to switch the button off.
5. Left: When the vehicle is taking a left turn tap on LEFT button to turn it on. Tap again after the turn is complete to switch the button off.
6. You can note the state of the buttons at the bottom of the screen(MOVING, STOPPED, TURNING LEFT, TURNING RIGHT).
7. At the end, press STOP RECORDING. Press the link that appears at the bottom of the app. Upload the file created in Documents/survey_data/ to the Dropbox. Type in you MTurk Worker ID in place of name. The participant can just hit enter and sensor data would be send to us.
8. You are requested to complete 1 trips of 15 minutes.

You are requested to complete 1 trip of 15 minutes each.
The data collection Routes can be same or different?
You can do mix. Some fraction of the trips can be repetitive for same route while other can different.
